This website uses no cookies. The only thing it stores in your browser is the theme you picked (Night or Paper), in localStorage; you can clear it from your browser settings.
To see how many visits each page gets we use Ahrefs Web Analytics: every page loads a script from analytics.ahrefs.com, which records the page visited, the referring page, country, browser and device type. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, and we only see aggregate figures, not individual visitors.
The server logs requests (IP address, URL, browser and time) to run and secure the site; those logs are deleted automatically after a few weeks.
If you press "Tap to hear it", the demo audio clips load from this same site. Apart from the analytics script, nothing is loaded from other domains.
Waitlist and contact form
If you join the waitlist or write to us through the form, the data you enter (email, chosen language and, on the contact form, your name and message) is received by our own server and emailed to our mailbox info@lingotello.com (hosted at Purelymail). It does not pass through any other service. We use your email only to tell you about the launch or to reply to you. Waitlist sign-ups are also stored in a file on our server so we can notify you. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by writing to that same address.
The app
LingoTello needs no account. Your progress and saved vocabulary stay on your phone. The full privacy policy of the Android app will be published here together with its Google Play listing. Until then, write to info@lingotello.com.
