A sample text
A sentence from an A2 text about daily life. In the app each group of words carries its English meaning underneath, and you can switch to "with translation" or "Spanish only".

Why listening and reading at the same time works
Spanish is easy to read and hard to hear. The spelling is regular, but native speakers talk fast, link words together and drop sounds, so ¿Qué es lo que quieres? sounds like three syllables. Reading while you listen ties what you can already decode on the page to what it actually sounds like.
Verb endings carry most of the meaning in Spanish, and they fly by in speech. Because LingoTello highlights the word being spoken, you see descubrió at the exact moment you hear it, and tapping it tells you who did what and when, without the audio stopping.
Hearing a lot of Spanish you can understand, at your level, is what improves listening comprehension most. With texts from A1 to C2 you can start with half-minute sentences and reach articles several minutes long without changing method.
